Founded in 2013, Move Healthcare is a specialist provider of community physiotherapy services to people living in the community across Greater Sydney and Wollongong. We provide mobile physiotherapy services to those who need their physiotherapy at home. We are a “registered NDIS provider” and are also the preferred provider of physiotherapy services to several Aged Care providers.
We provide mobile physiotherapy services to older people living in Residential Aged Care Homes, Retirement Villages, Respite Care and their own homes
We work with people who have physical or intellectual disabilities or a combination of both – including those with complex or challenging conditions
Our Community physiotherapy service provides the convenience of having a physio come to you, whether that be your home, work, gym or the local park

Move Healthcare can provide hydrotherapy sessions at your local pool to assist with your rehabilitation
We can assess your mobility and prescribe you with the correct mobility aids such as walking frames and transfer equipment, to help keep you moving
Exercise rehabilitation is at the heart of who we are, we can provide you with exercise programs to complete at home, at work, in the park, at the beach or at your local gym!
Move Healthcare can provide manual handling training to both large and small groups

Greg reached out to Move Healthcare as he wanted to be more physically active and see if there was any way he could improve his mobility. Greg is a middle-aged man who suffered a traumatic brain injury in his early adulthood. His injuries left him with left-sided weakness and spasticity that has resulted in him not being able to walk. Greg uses an electric wheelchair for mobility and when Move Healthcare first met Greg he relied upon a full body hoist for transfers from his wheelchair to his lounge chair.
With Move Healthcare’s help, Greg started regular physiotherapy at home to strengthen his legs and practise his transfers in and out of his wheelchair. As Greg’s strength and confidence grew, we knew he had the potential to transfer in and out of his wheelchair without the need for a full-body hoist. We liaised with Greg’s occupational therapist, his support workers and an equipment supplier and trialled some new equipment with Greg. Through Greg’s hard work he was eventually able to transfer in and out of his wheelchair using a standing-aide for all of his transfers.
This greatly improved Greg’s ability to access the community more. He now is able to attend his local swimming pool where he enjoys hydrotherapy twice a week, he is also learning to play golf with help from a specialist golf coach.
